Independent Trade and Social Development Consultant

Julia Lipowiecka is an independent consultant, with 5 years experience working in the areas of economic development, trade and social development in Sub-Saharan Africa, and particularly East Africa. Her experience spans policy development, programme design, management and evaluation, and research. She has worked with TradeMark East Africa, DFID, Danida, Sida, GIZ, the International Trade Centre, the World Trade Organization and the World Bank. She holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics. Julia is also the Co-Founder of Sauti, an award-winning mobile-based trade information and social accountability platform for SMEs engaged in cross-border trade.
